The project was formulated under the project for formulation of Western Province Solid Waste Management Master Plan under the funding of JICA. Scope of the project included, 1. Developing the abandoned waste segregation building at the site as a waste transfer station. 2. Design, fabrication, supply and installation of Static Compactor with two transporting containers. 3. Supply of one unit of Container Hauler Truck with Hook System. This facility has a capacity of compacting over 20 tones of solid waste per day.
