BIM
The Future of Construction Industry
BIM IS THE DIGITALIZED WAY IN WHICH THE PROJECTS ARE DESIGNED, PLANNED, CONSTRUCTED AND MANAGED.
Construction industry is in a transforming era where the companies are focusing on integrating and digitalizing the latest technologies to improve the efficiency and quality throughout the life cycle of a project. Going ahead, we believe that the next big thing in the industry is Building Information Modelling (BIM). Digital engineering and automation techniques have made a massive impact into the project planning, design and construction. BIM has a potential use at all stages of the project life-cycle; it can be used by the owner to understand project needs, by the design team to analyze, design and develop the project, by the contractor to manage the construction of the project and by the facility manager during operation and commissioning phases.
At Kent, we have already embraced this dynamic tool. Implementation of BIM helps us to improve the efficiency and resource management during the design stage and to execute the plans in a prescribed manner at the construction stage while maintaining the highest standards all the time. It also improves the communication between the relevant bodies by providing accurate and up to date information. BIM enable us a pathway for sustainable designs through better analysis of energy, water and CO2 consumptions. This was a challenge for us in the early stages, but it helps us to coordinate multiple engineering discipline to develop the most suitable and affordable solutions to our clients.
